Fun Things To Do: Tower of Terror

21 people enter, only 20 come out. Or at least that's what they want you to believe will happen. The Tower of Terror attraction in Walt Disney World is one of the stops that is a must. If you have been on the one in Disneyland many times, like I have, you will be happy to know this is voted as one the attractions that is so much better in Disney World than Disneyland. With the elevator moving not only up and down, it travels forward and backwards. (Glass Elevator anyone?)

One of the greatest aspects of the attraction is that the elevator actually pulls you down when you "fall" down the shaft. This allows for some fun. The other aspect that allows for some fun is the photo op that happens on an unknown floor. It's unknown because a computer randomizes the ups and downs your experience. You had better be prepared to look out the open wall to the "World" below. So many things are possible here.

The Coin:

Place a coin on
your finger as you are about to start your trip into the Twilight Zone. You must do this after the whole spiel about the past and everything or it will be sitting there for a while. And definitely do it after the bellhop closes the doors. (DUH) The effect is a flying coin in front of your face as you drop. The coin will fall at a normal rate as you are being pulled down faster than gravity. It's pretty cool to witness. I had this happen to my camera bag once... That scared me.

The Pose:

With there being a photo taken during your ride, it's your chance to make memories. I've done this on many rides all over. Funny faces, over exaggerations, etc, but the one I have in mind takes more than just you or you and a couple of friends playing chess. I mean this takes all 21 seats! Imagine the possibilities when it's you and 20 other people. Plus buying the digital copy to share with everyone (normally $14.95) comes to a mere $0.75 per person. Tell everyone to give you 3 quarters before they get on the ride. Wait bad idea... That means you'll have $15 dollars worth of quarters in your pockets. Just get the money somehow. Use Google Wallet or something. ANYWAY! Back to the fun. With 21 people this allows for more ideas. One of the ideas I have is using masks. Guy Fawkes, monkeys, Teletubbies, something freaky or whimsical. Another idea is newspapers. I think it would be fun to have everyone holding up newspapers. It sounded funnier in my head.

What would you do if you had the whole elevator full of your friends?
